Landscape photographer based in London
My photography journey started on a family holiday in Abisko, Sweden. Planning a trip there for what we hoped would be our first sighting of the elusive Aurora Borealis, and not trusting my phone to capture more than a faint smudge, I bought an entry level DSLR and spent the weeks leading up to the trip trawling through articles on photographing the Northern Lights. Rather optimistically, after three and a half weeks of pure theory, I thought I was ready for a photographic journey to the Arctic!
Despite being thwarted by heavy cloud on our first night there, the following evenings truly delivered the goods. While swirls of bright green danced overhead, like a small child, my eyes darted from the star-filled sky to my camera’s LCD display, back to the sky, back to the camera again… Suffice to say the photos didn’t turn out well! But that experience kickstarted my passion for photography and capturing the beauty of the natural world around us.
I hope you enjoy the photographs in my gallery and please do get in touch via the Contact page if you would like to order any prints or to discuss anything photography!
